MetaTrader 5, a popular forex trading platform, is used by many traders and brokers in the global market. There are a couple of custom templates included with MetaTrader 5, but these will be useless to you if want a different visual style and time frame for your currency forex charts. MetaTrader 5, however, allows you to create your own templates and have them automatically applied on forex currency charts.
Step 1.
Close all currency charts.

Select “Chart Window” from the right-click menu of any currency pair. Open the chart default window, which is usually a bar-chart on a black backdrop.

Select “Properties”, by selecting the right-click menu on a particular area of the window with a currency chart.

Click the Colors button in the Properties window. The currency graph can be modified here. Select the desired colour by clicking on the dropdown button next to each element of the graph. The “Properties’ window will show you a live preview as you change the chart.

Once you have finished changing colors, select the tab “Common”. MetaTrader can be changed the way it displays chart elements. Once you have made the changes, simply click on “OK”. The chart will load the modified version.

Select your timeframe by clicking on the “Periodicity”, and then right-clicking any part of the window with a modified currency chart.

Select “Save Template” after right-clicking any other area in the graph window. Click “Save” and type “Default” (default) in the “Filename” field. Open any chart again and it will be updated with your new style.
WARNINGS
When you wish to manually load a template, you will need to save it using the default file name. You can manually apply a Template by right clicking anywhere on a Chart window. Point to “Template”, and then left click its name.
